Trevor was born and brought up in Doncaster. His main instrument has always been the violin. He also has grade 8 in piano and trumpet. Trevor gained an honours degree in Music from Manchester University after which he spent 2 years living in Reykjavik where he played with The Icelandic Symphony Orchestra and Icelandic Opera as well as enjoying the outdoor life and teaching. After a period of private violin study and teaching violin in the North East Trevor spent two and a half years with the BBC National Orchestra of Wales before departing for pastures new and joining the Inland Revenue. As well as his current job in Human Resources at the Inland Revenue Trevor teaches and freelances with local groups in addition to tutoring the 1st violins in NYO.
